In the Name of Science: Why Some Waters are Fads

Over a decade ago Steven Sedlmayr, the inventor and scientist behind DIVINIA, had the invaluable opportunity to conduct research alongside the esteemed materials science pioneer, Dr. Rustum Roy. They met while Sedlmayr lived in Arizona and Dr. Roy taught at Arizona State University - within a year, Steven undertook experiments on DIVINIA with Dr. Roy at Penn State University, where Dr. Roy taught and was director of the Materials Research Institute.

Water was of personal interest to Dr. Roy, and he and his team orchestrated many studies on water from Lourdes, the Ganges, etc. to identify any particular "healing" properties or energy signatures. From what they could surmise there was nothing of note to any of the thousands of samples they studied.

In one riveting study that Sedlmayr was witness to, Dr. Roy measured the energy of water being prayed over by a monk in Russia. Through satellites the monk chanted over a water sample held and monitored in Dr. Roy's lab. When the chants began the water displayed vibrational changes measured by finely tuned instruments in the lab; when the chanting ceased, so did the changes in the water. Following the experiment, the water sample in question measured at the same energy as before the chanting started. In other words, the changes noted in the water during the chants were not permanent.

In 2007 Steven Sedlmayr and Dr. Rustum Roy began a battery of tests on DIVINIA and exposed samples to various electromagnetic fields, temperatures, sounds, and lights - they shipped the water around the country to be handled by different people and tested DIVINIA over extended periods of time. To his surprise

Dr. Roy discovered that DIVINIA maintained its higher energy signature despite the outside stimuli or length of time on the shelf. According to Rustum, DIVINIA is fundamentally and molecularly changed. In a confidential letter addressed to Steven, in part, Rustum wrote: "Extensive characterization data at different time frames indicates that the structural changes, including the main O-H stretching band in [DIVINIA] water, are stable... The changes observed by us in our laboratory studies on the structure of pure... [DIVINIA] water, with zero additives are larger, especially in the main O-H stretch band region, than any we have seen in the some years of work."

One pervasive and continuous question we get is: how does DIVINIA compare to waters purified with crystals? Or water held in moonlight? What about vortex water or water pumped with hydrogen gas? In light of the studies conducted by Steven Sedlmayr with Dr. Rustum Roy, it is easy to see that certain outside stimuli can have an influence on water like prayers or crystals, moonlight, vortexing, music, even hydrogen gas. However, what is necessary to ask is what are those influences and how much can they really impact water? Of course something like a crystal can impart superficial changes when water is touching the crystal, but once the water is sitting in a glass or your stomach it is likely that the water has returned back to what it was because the outside stimulus is no longer there. The crystals (or moon or music, etc.) will probably not impart enough of the right vibrational energy for influences to be permanent, and there exists no scientific proof that crystals or moon water have any benefit beyond placebo. The fact that these methods don't create a lasting change in water is why Dr. Masaru Emoto had to freeze water in order to demonstrate changes with words and intent. This is also why it is difficult to perfectly reproduce Dr. Emoto's experiment.

So why is DIVINIA different? It comes down to the molecule. When DIVINIA is purified more energy is put into the Oxygen-Hydrogen bond to stretch it (pull the atoms further apart in the water molecule) so that it takes less energy to break down and use biologically. The energy is stored inside, not simply exerted upon, the water molecule. This achievement requires a lot of physics, energy and vibration... something moonlight and crystals simply cannot offer, especially scientifically speaking.
