Anti-Aging: Cellular Water's Potential Role in Cellular Maintenance

What Role Does Water Play? It is no secret that drinking pure, energized water is necessary for cellular health and longevity. The bio-availability of oxygen and hydrogen in DIVINIA is due to a high energetic state of the water in which the bonds between the oxygen and hydrogen are weakened (this specific aspect of DIVINIA was proven in 2007 by Dr. Rustum Roy at Penn State) causing the hydrogen and oxygen to break apart easier for anti-aging, anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory functions. The result of proprietary and pioneering vibrational frequency technology, DIVINIA is water restored to its natural vibrational energy that was once lost due to pollution, chemicals, and industrialization. Anti-Aging and Telomeres? According to Dr. Axe: "Telomeres are segments of DNA at the end of our chromosomes. Scientists frequently compare them to the plastic tips of shoelaces that keep the laces together. (1) Telomeres function similarly, preventing chromosomes from fraying or tangling with one another. When that happens, it can cause genetic information to get mixed up or destroyed, leading to cell malfunction, increasing the risk of disease or even shortening lifespans... Essentially, this is how our bodies age. As more of our cells lose their telomeres and go out of commission, without others to take their place, the body follows and begins breaking down. And telomeres don’t leave (or shorten) quietly. Their shortening process has been linked with aging, cancer and a higher risk of death." What Can I Do For My Telomeres? Scientists are widely divided as to if or how you can lengthen your telomeres, but most agree that good habits can save or preserve your telomeres in some way. A study from UC San Francisco is the first to identify and describe the healthy habits that maintain telomere length and slow aging; the researchers concluded that the female participants who engaged in physical activities, monitored their dietary intake, and had better sleep aged "less" in a year than participants with adverse habits, regardless of stress levels. Continual efforts toward positive habits are paramount, as "... shorter telomeres have become associated with a broad range of aging-related diseases, including stroke, vascular dementia, cardiovascular disease, obesity, osteoporosis diabetes, and many forms of cancer." Studies show the importance of hydrogen (aka hydration) for telomere maintenance due to a reduction cellular oxidization; additionally, this study shows that obesity and exposure to toxins inhibit telomere growth and lead to their eventual demise. Pure, functional water can help shed fat and detox the body (along with lifestyle changes), which might have positive impact on telomere stasis or even, perhaps, growth. The care of telomeres is generally associated with slowed aging and longer lives.
